Juan Diego Flórez soon in Vienna with “The Barber of Seville”

Juan Diego Flórez will be soon on the stage of the Vienna State Opera as Count Almaviva in Rossini's most popular work “The Barber of Seville”. The two performances, on 18 and 21 May 2019, are under the musical direction of Maestro Evelino Pidò and the second performance will be broadcast live on the website of the Vienna State Opera. Juan Diego Flórez gave his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper exactly 20 years ago as Count Almaviva. “The Barber of Seville”, often described as the quintessential opera buffa, is one of Juan Diego Flórez' most performed operas.
