Juan Diego Flórez made his debut in the title role of Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann in a new production at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo last January 22, 2018. He returned to Monte Carlo on his much-anticipated portrayal of the poet Hoffmann in the production staged by director Jean-Louis Grinda, led by Jacques Lacombe conducting the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Chorus of the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Flórez is joined by soprano Olga Peretyatko-Mariotti who will sing all four heroines in the most renowned opera of Jacques Offenbach. The production also includes Sophie Marilley as Nicklausse and Nicolas Courjal as the four villains. The sold-out performances take place January 25, 28, 31 at the Salle Garnier.
