Juan Diego Flórez

On the first of March Juan Diego Florez was singing for the first time the role of Arnold Melchtal in Rossini’s opera GUILLAUME TELL.

He gave his debut at the Gran Teatro Nacional, Lima.

In recognition of the presidential inauguration Juan Diego Florez will take part at "In Performance at the Kennedy Center." in Washington on January 20, 2013.

The concert features performances by Antonio Banderas, Rosario Dawson, Raúl Esparza, José Feliciano, Melanie Griffith, George Lopez, Mario Lopez, Rita Moreno, Ballet Hispanico, Coro de Niños de San Juan, the Esperanza Azteca Youth Orchestra, the Pan American Symphony Orchestra, and other entertainers. The gala will be hosted by actress Eva Longoria.

Yesterday was the ceremony of the conferment of the honorary title “Kammersänger” at the Teesalon of the Wiener Staatsoper. In representation of Minister Claudia Schmied, Georg Springer presented Juan Diego Flórez with the title.

On Tuesday November 27, 2012 Juan Diego Flórez will receive the honorary title “Kammersänger” from the Minister of Cultural Affairs of Austria and the Wiener Staatsoper.
